About
Established in 2026 in Silsoe, Bedfordshire, QuantiSpray combines scientific expertise with specialist testing, measurement and modelling capabilities to help clients understand how sprays, aerosols and airborne materials behave in real-world conditions.
Our team includes internationally recognised experts in spray application, spray drift, exposure assessment and environmental measurement. With advanced facilities dedicated to spray science, we generate robust, defensible data that supports regulatory assessment, product development and scientific research.
Complex science should lead to practical answers. By combining rigorous testing with clear, evidence-based advice, we help clients make informed decisions with confidence.

CONSULTANT
Christine is an Environmental Scientist with over 20 years' experience in evaluating and characterising spray application systems in conjunction with investigating formulation effects.
She specialises in delivering analytical techniques connecting chemical, biological and microbiological disciplines.
Christine delivers impactful projects in both the agricultural and defence sectors.
Helen specialises in spray and nozzle characterisation, spray deposition and drift research. She has more than three decades of experience in horticulture, precision agriculture, crop cultivation and plant protection products.
Helen combines scientific expertise with extensive practical field experience. Her work supports the development of safer, more effective and environmentally responsible spray application technologies for modern agriculture.
Clare has worked in pesticide application technology since 1994. She has a PhD in Physics and has been a Chartered Physicist, Chartered Environmentalist and a Fellow of the Institution of Agricultural Engineers.
Her research interests include modelling and measurement of spray drift, characteristics and behaviour, as well as regulatory exposure assessment of airborne pesticides.
Clare is semi-retired, but actively supporting QuantiSpray in its work to secure the UK's spray science capabilities.
Biological Testing
Controlled environmental chambers and specialist application systems support studies involving biological products, decontaminants and microbial formulations.
These facilities enable reliable testing under carefully managed conditions and help assess product performance on a range of target surfaces.
Analytical Laboratory
Our analytical laboratory measures spray deposition, retention, uptake and degradation across a range of target surfaces and species.
Combined with environmental monitoring and meteorological measurements, these capabilities support exposure assessment, formulation development and environmental fate studies.
Application Testing
Our high-speed track sprayer can simulate a wide range of field and commercial application systems under controlled conditions.
This enables realistic testing of equipment, formulations and application techniques before progressing to larger-scale studies.
We can also assess formulation handling and sprayability characteristics.
Spray Characterisation Laboratory
Our specialist spray characterisation laboratory uses advanced laser-based measurement systems to analyse droplet size, velocity, spray patterns and driftable fractions.
These capabilities help us understand how nozzles, formulations and operating conditions influence spray performance.
Our Specialist Facilities
QuantiSpray's facilities in Silsoe, Bedfordshire, support every stage of experimental spray research, from laboratory measurement and application testing to large-scale field studies.
